feeling it

I've been so out of it lately--in the best way possible. I think it's the progression of my drastic case of senioritis. lol

let me put it in perspective for you, lol. 

Lately, school couldn't get any more boring, I've taken to doodling on my hand as a form of entertainment. 

On the bright side though, I'm reveling

 in focusing on track and friends. lol the past two days have been the best that I've

 had for awhile. 

yesterday, the week-long rainstorm  stopped for the afternoon, giving me and 

the other guys a chance to run to the park for a workout. It was tough, but strangely fun. reminiscent of cross country. lol

afterward, we all hung out

. jalil needed to go to journal square to make preparations for his prom tux so jahee

d, calvin, john, and I went with him. had a good time, its fun just being one of the guys. lol

Afterthought: I wonder if I'll regret not going to LHS prom. 

Today was really fun too,

 surprisingly enough. it was the AP test for english. I got up and went to school entirely to

o early only to find that everyone came late anyway. lol the testing was drama. let's just say restless seniors who 

don't care about doing well on an exam and two very annoying guidance counselors do

n't really mesh very well together. lol I'll blog these moments simply because I want to remember them late

After testing, we had an

 extended lunch, so me, Nour, Edward, and Ngoc walked to the square for some halal

 yummies! lol more messing around ensued and we all got stuffed on some fried goodness. lol on the way back, Nour saw Dr. Epps and tried t

o harass him about schola

rship money right on the street, fortunately he had just walked into a bank and she couldn't get to him, haha. 

We managed to make it back into the school just as the bell for fourth block rang. The rest of the day passed without

 incident. I was so tired I almost fell asleep driving the simulator in health class though. and

 as we were hanging out in torres' room after school, waiting for the rain to die dow

n we got kicked out by critelli lol. 

anyways, this post is getting to be too long. this is me saying peace outs! & rocking my new LHS track t-shirt. lol go figure I finally got one that fits!

Happy, Sad, and Utterly Unsure

My last post was in February. Wow, where has the time gone?

Well, a lot of things have since then, but I won't bother trying to say everything. 

let's try to make it simple:

well, I suppose the biggest thing about my life in the recent months is the fact that I have been accepted into the college that I wanted to go to, TCNJ, and I've decided to go there, starting in June. I can't wait for college life. I'm looking forward to EOF, dorming, having a roommate, joining new clubs and possibly a new track team, and especially being away from home on my own for the first time. I'm also so incredibly excited that I'm finally graduating. It's not that I didn't have fun in the four years that I spent at Lincoln. cause I did. I met some really cool people, did some very awesome things, and had a few moments that I will never forget for the rest of my life. But, when it comes down to it, I've come to the realization that everybody needs to move on. Lincoln was humorous at first, and I found it refreshing as compared to my Catholic School upbringing, but 4 years is a long time, and with every day that I'm trapped in that building, I find the people and the teachers and the administration more and more infuriating. It feels so liberating to know that in 50 days I'm going to be stepping out of Lincoln for the last time. & then, in about 3 days after that, I basically get a reset button and get to start anew at TCNJ. 

Is it possible to have a two month romance? Well, I pretty much experienced that in the past two months too. 

I don't know what to say about it--basically it was me that fucked it up and caused the breakup though. 

lol. Is it wrong to get annoyed at someone for being so damn high-maintenance 

and overly-dramatic?

I really do not know, it was fun for a few weeks and I really felt like it was going 

somewhere--but then I kept getting busy and she wanted more and more from me. 

Apparently, I just don't try hard enough.

Maybe that's my problem though. 

Seems like I can't ever really keep a relationship going.

Anyways, these days life just goes by very slowly. 

My days consist of sitting in a boring classroom, taking down notes that I either already know or will never ever need.

Track isn't what it used to be either. Basically, I still don't feel like its that fun anymore. I still like to run, but competing is a whole other story.

I force myself to go to practice some days, but I won't lie, I like to be part of the team.

The best moments these days tend to be when I am simply chill. Spending time relaxing with friends and family is my shit.

The highlight of today was actually sitting in the auditorium at school, running through the songs on my iPod with Edward, Alicia, and Nour. 

& cracking jokes on my videos/songs. lol

good times. seems like the only thing that's worth it anymore.

Anyways, Greek is coming on soon.

Happy Valentine's Day

I am not sure what Valentine's Day means to me. I don't even really know if I've ever had a decent Valentine's Day to look back on. Sure, there have been years where I've been involved, and had people to spend the holiday with, but I never really took it seriously. I mean, why should I have? I'm just a kid and, realistically, I knew that none of those relationships were going to end with true love. This year is definitely different though. 

I think I agree with one of my new buddies in saying that it isn't about having one true and official Valentine, but that it's cool to simply know what people think about you. Indeed, I didn't have a real relationship or Valentine this year, but I was asked by a couple of loser kids, lol, and that's what's really nice.  

(yeah, someone actually sent me a picture of this bear & asked me to be their Valentine. lol)

So today (well, yesterday now) , Valentine's day wasn't really about love and romance. But it was about hanging with friends. lol I went out with one of my best buddies & had fun simply goofing off. Who knew that roaming around, getting lost in NYC, drinking smoothies in a juice bar, and just being dumb could be so liberating? lol  

Resurrection

Being back on here brings back a few good memories, like a few summers ago when Joan and I would write nearly everyday and always read each other's posts, or having xangas back in my St. Al's days. lol I've been off of blogging for awhile now, mostly due to being busy. But, inspired by the "blogging movement" in my circle of acquaintances, I've decided to bring back my own blogger. Why? Simply because too much stuff happens on a daily basis, and I figure that sometime soon I might want to look back on it. lol That and its always nice to be able to vent about a couple of things.
